Publisher’ description: Formerly known as Crazyhorse, swamp pink was established in 2023 and publishes fiction, poetry, and nonfiction semi-monthly online. Our aim is to celebrate outstanding work from writers at all stages of their careers. We love discovering new voices, and we are particularly interested in submissions from writers of color and writers from marginalized and underrepresented communities.

We offer payment for accepted work. Poems receive $40 each, and we pay $0.05 a word for prose. Maximum payout is $200. Simultaneous submissions are welcome in all genres. We consider fiction and nonfiction submissions of up to 7,500 words—we have published exceptional work that falls outside this range, but it is an unusual occurrence—and poetry submissions of 3-6 poems.
