About this Magazine:
Wordrunner eChapbooks is a hybrid of literary journal and online chapbook, the latter featuring novella-length fiction and nonfiction collections by one author (also available as ebooks). Our annual online journals are themed anthologies of fiction, CNF/memoir, and poetry. Authors are paid. New in 2024: an occasional micro-prose feature.

Publisher's description: Wordrunner eChapbooks is a hybrid of literary journal and online chapbook, the latter featuring one author. Our aim is to make high quality writing available free or at very low cost, much like the original chapbooks that were hawked in the streets of 18th and 19th century London for pennies. Web publications are our 21st century chapbooks. In many issues, hyperlinks to photos, videos, background articles, maps, poetry, and artwork add new dimensions to the online reading experience.
We are focusing on prose collections now (either fiction or CNF/memoir) but have published poetry collections and may do so again. Once a year we publish a themed anthology of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry (also available in pdf format). We are also publishing an occasional micro-prose feature. Our chief criteria for all accepted pieces are excellent writing and emotional complexity.
We showcase diverse and talented writers, whether they are emerging newbies or old hands with a long list of publishing credits. All publications are available in the Archive section of our easily navigated website.
Since 2014 the single-author echapbooks have also been released as e-pubs.
